We are living in a time when there is genuinely a lot to feel anxious about. Anxiety may range from a persistent sense that something is not okay, to moments of overwhelming fear. Wherever you are on that spectrum, it is real, and it is exhausting.
What It Feels Like
when anxiety is present, it can feel as though your mind won't stop, your body can't relax, and your emotions are constantly on alert. Your thoughts may become caught in worry, "what if" loops, or catastrophizing, while your body stays stuck in fight-or-flight, with tension, shallow breathing, a tight chest, or a racing heart. You may feel overwhelmed, avoid situations that once felt manageable, or simply find it hard to settle.
Although the focus of anxiety may be health, relationships, work, the world, flying, or leaving home, these are often expressions of the same underlying alarm within the nervous system.
Where It Comes From
At its core, anxiety is often rooted in a sense of feeling unsafe. Earlier experiences, family patterns, and the ways we learned to cope shape our nervous system and how secure we feel within ourselves.
When we lose connection with ourselves, we often look outside for safety. Some people ignore their own needs by focusing on others, while others constantly seek reassurance. Both are forms of self-abandonment that can keep anxiety going.

How We Work Together
Our work begins with creating a safe, accepting space where you can understand what is happening and why. Through talk therapy, we explore the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that maintain anxiety while developing healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. We may use CBT to work with anxious thinking. [Link: Talk Therapies]
Because anxiety also lives in the body, I often use EFT tapping, a gentle somatic approach that helps calm the nervous system and reduce anxiety's physical grip. Many clients are surprised by how quickly they begin to feel more settled.
Where helpful, we can also use meditation or hypnosis to explore deeper patterns and support lasting change. [Link: Hypnosis / Parts of Self]
What becomes possible
As anxiety settles, many people feel calmer, more grounded, and better able to meet life's challenges without constantly bracing for the worst. The goal is not a life without difficulty, but one in which you feel safe enough within yourself to live it fully.
